Curio Bioscience is a pioneer in spatial transcriptomics — technology that maps gene expression across tissue with unprecedented spatial resolution. Their platform gives scientists a new way to see how biology organizes itself, with implications across oncology, neuroscience, and drug discovery.
When the founding team came to Brandmates, they needed everything — from a company name and identity to a web presence and product messaging capable of standing up in one of the most scientifically sophisticated markets in life sciences. We built it all from scratch, designed to support their commercial launch and investor narrative.

SCOPE
What we built.
01 — Naming & brand identity
Company name, logo, and visual identity built for a scientific audience.
Led the naming process — developing and vetting candidates against competitive landscape,
trademark availability, and scientific credibility. Built a full visual identity system around the chosen name, including logo, color, typography, and illustration style.
02 — Messaging & positioning
Scientific positioning that spoke to researchers and investors simultaneously.
Developed a messaging framework that translated complex spatial biology into clear commercial language — without losing the scientific credibility that matters to research buyers. Built separate messaging tracks for commercial, academic, and investor audiences.
03 — Web & product render
Site design and product visualization for commercial launch.
Designed and built the Curio Bioscience website from the ground up — including product renders of their spatial transcriptomics hardware that made complex instrumentation approachable and visually compelling for a scientific and commercial audience.
